Conflict Resolution/ Management Course (PMVA) – Level 2

Will this course give me what I need?

It is a sad fact of life that everyday people around the world are attacked either verbally or physically with some devastating consequences whilst at work.  This course has been produced with the aim to manage conflict and raise awareness within the workplace and public places.

Employers are working with their employees to help recognise the “warning signs” and reduce the risk of attacks which in return reduces staff absence due to sickness and stress following such an event.  This course is aimed at professionals who wish to raise their levels of awareness and in return increase confidence and assertiveness when dealing with customers or whilst in public.

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Have a heightened awareness of their Personal Safety
  • Identify & Implement Best Practices at Work
  • Recognise safety measures when working (including lone worker)
  • Be aware of personal safety when travelling in their vehicle, on foot or on public transport
  • Risk assess effectively
  • Understand “Triggers” and “Inhibitors”

This regulated qualification is ideal for anyone who requires training in conflict management. It is appropriate for a wide range of sectors and is suitable for anyone who has a customer facing role, dealing with service users or the public. It is also a useful qualification for individuals who would like a better understanding of how to prevent conflict situations from arising and who would like to gain more confidence in being able to deal with conflict situations.

The qualification is assessed through a 1 hour, 30-question, multiple-choice question examination. Candidates must achieve a score of at least 20 out of 30 to pass.
