Will this Endorsed Handcuffing Course give me what I need?

“The law within England & Wales stipulates that anyone can carry Handcuffs as long as they can justify their use and have received professional training from an approved supplier”

This course is designed for those professionals who as part of their job role may require the need to detain individuals to either prevent harm to themselves or to others.

This includes (but not limited to):

  • Bailiffs
  • Door Supervisors/ Security Staff
  • Enforcement Officers (Civilian)
  • Hospital & Nursing Staff
  • Detention Officers
  • Door Supervisors

This course can be taught as a standalone course however we recommend that this course is taught in conjunction with the “Advance Physical Intervention” course over a 2 day period where the 2 courses complement each other.

  • The relevant law(s) surrounding Hand Cuffing & The Use of Force
  • Rigid Hand Cuffing Techniques
  • Handcuffing on the ground
  • Escorting techniques
  • Prone to Standing techniques

Our courses are open to ALL applicants that meet the following criteria:

Aged 18 years or over

Have a Literacy/English level to at least a Level 1 standard – this will be determined in the initial assessment

UK Nationals: Passport + 2 proofs of address (not older than 3 months)

Non-UK/EU Nationals: Passport/Home Office Documents. 2 proofs of address (not older than 3 months)
